4 Days Per Week Terms & Conditions

Effective from: 1st September 2026

Contact: hello@angleseacowork.com.au

Welcome to Cowork. We want the space to be an easygoing, comfortable and productive place to work. These guidelines explain what members can expect from us—and what we ask of everyone using the space.

By purchasing a membership or using Cowork, you agree to follow this policy.

1. Memberships and payment

Full-time and regular part-time memberships are purchased by the calendar month.

Members joining mid month will be charged on a pro-rata basis.

Payment is due in advance at the beginning of each month and covers use of your desk until the last day of that month. Unless otherwise agreed, memberships cannot be transferred to another person or shared.

Casual Day Passes are paid in advance

2. Rolling memberships and notice

A rolling membership continues from month to month until notice is given.

We ask for at least one calendar month’s written notice before your departure. For example, if you would like April to be your final month, please let us know by 31 March.

Notice should be sent to hello@angleseacowork.com.au. Membership fees remain payable throughout the notice period.

3. Keys and building access

Until Cowork’s separate entrance is completed, ongoing full-time and part-time members will be provided with the keys needed to access the space during their agreed access hours.

Access is through the front side door of Gelato Gelato, followed by the internal staircase to Cowork.

Keys are personal to the member to whom they are issued. Please:

Keep your keys secure.

Do not copy, lend or give them to another person.

Do not use them to provide access to visitors or non-members.

Tell us promptly if a key is lost, stolen or damaged.

Make sure doors close securely when entering and leaving.

Return all keys when your membership ends.

Where a key is lost or damaged, we may ask the member to cover the reasonable cost of replacement or any necessary security work.

Please contact us on 0438 558 805 if you have difficulty accessing or securing the space.

4. Casual day-pass access

Casual day passes provide access from 8:30 am until 5:30 pm on the booked day.

We will arrange for the office to be opened and secured during these hours. Day-pass users do not receive keys and must leave by 5:30 pm, even if ongoing members remain in the space.

Day passes are for the person named in the booking and cannot be shared or transferred.

5. Current and future entry arrangements

Construction works are planned to enclose the stairwell on the ground floor and install a separate entry door at the base of the staircase.

Once completed, the new entrance will give Cowork more direct and independent access and should reduce the amount of noise travelling upstairs from Gelato Gelato.

Until then, access will remain through the front side door of Gelato Gelato. Please be considerate of the Gelato Gelato team and customers when entering and leaving, and keep the access route clear.

We will update members before the new entry arrangements begin.

6. Opening layout and future capacity

Cowork is opening with nine desks.

As the space develops, we intend to install an additional bench-style desk along the staircase balustrade. This is expected to accommodate another three to four workstations, likely for casual users.

The layout and number of people using the space may therefore change over time. We will introduce any additional workstations thoughtfully and will aim to give members advance notice of installation work or material changes affecting nearby desks.

7. Working in a shared space

Cowork is a shared, open-plan workspace. Some everyday movement and conversation are to be expected, but everyone should be able to get on with their work.

Please:

Keep conversations and calls at a considerate volume.

Use headphones for music, videos and online meetings.

Consider noise-cancelling headphones when you need additional focus.

Avoid speakerphone and audible device notifications.

Be mindful of confidential conversations in an open space.

Respect other members’ desks, equipment and personal space.

Leave desks and shared areas clean and ready for use.

Let us know if something is affecting your ability to work.

If someone lets you know that your call or conversation is carrying, please take it in the spirit intended. A small adjustment usually sorts things out.

8. Meetings, visitors and events

Cowork does not currently have meeting rooms and is designed mainly for individual desk-based work. It is therefore generally not suitable for client appointments, interviews or visitor meetings.

Membership access is for the registered member. Please discuss any proposed visitor access with us beforehand.

Events, workshops and organised group activities may be possible. We simply ask that you discuss your plans with us first so we can consider timing, capacity, noise and the effect on other members.

Members are responsible for the conduct of any visitors or participants they bring into the space.

9. The balcony

The balcony is a shared amenity for members to enjoy during their time at Cowork. Please use it considerately and leave it clean and available for others.

It is an all-weather balcony, so its comfort and availability will naturally depend on the conditions. Please secure any loose belongings and follow any temporary safety directions during high winds, severe weather or maintenance.

As with the rest of Cowork, the balcony is a member space rather than a general gathering place. If you would like to use it as part of an event or organised group activity, please discuss the idea with us first.

10. Planned construction and everyday noise

Construction works are planned to enclose the ground-floor stairwell and install a separate entry door at the base of the staircase.

In the longer term, this should reduce noise travelling into Cowork from downstairs. While the work is being carried out, however, members may experience periods of construction noise and disruption.

Until the enclosure is completed, members may also hear customers downstairs, refrigeration equipment and the normal sounds of Gelato Gelato’s production and operations.

Cowork will primarily be used on weekdays, while Gelato Gelato’s busiest periods tend to be weekends and school holidays. We are therefore hopeful that the two uses will work comfortably alongside one another, although we cannot promise a completely quiet environment.

We will do our best to:

Give members reasonable notice of scheduled works.

Identify particularly noisy or disruptive periods where possible.

Arrange work thoughtfully and minimise its effect on the space.

Keep access routes safe and usable.

Share updates if timing or access arrangements change.

Construction schedules sometimes change, and urgent or externally managed work may occur with limited notice. We will communicate what we know as clearly and promptly as we can.

11. Looking after the space

Please treat the workspace, furniture and shared facilities with care.

Members should:

Clean up after themselves.

Place rubbish and recycling in the appropriate bins.

Report spills, damage, maintenance issues or safety hazards.

Check before bringing in equipment or appliances that may create noise, a hazard or an unreasonable demand on shared services.

Keep corridors, stairs, doors and emergency exits clear.

Members may be asked to cover the reasonable cost of repairing damage caused deliberately or through careless use, excluding ordinary wear and tear.

12. Personal belongings and security

Please take reasonable care of your belongings and do not leave valuable items unattended. Cowork cannot guarantee the security of items left in the space.

Please tell us promptly if you lose something or notice suspicious activity. Property left behind may be held for a reasonable period before being donated or disposed of.

13. Internet use

Shared internet access is provided for normal professional use. Members are responsible for protecting their devices, accounts and data.

Please do not use the network for unlawful activity, attempts to access another person’s systems or data, or downloads that unreasonably affect the service available to others.

As Wi-Fi is a shared service, uninterrupted availability or a particular speed cannot be guaranteed.

14. Respectful conduct

Everyone using Cowork should be treated with courtesy and respect. Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, threatening behaviour and unlawful activity are not acceptable.

Please follow reasonable safety directions and any signs or instructions applying to the building. Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside.

15. If something is not working

Most issues can be resolved with a friendly conversation. If this policy is not being followed, we will usually start by discussing the issue and asking that it be corrected.

Serious, unsafe or repeated behaviour may result in access being restricted or a membership being ended. Any action will take account of the circumstances and applicable Australian consumer law.

16. Changes as Cowork develops

Cowork is a new and evolving space. Practical arrangements may change when the stairwell works, separate entrance and additional workstations are completed.

We will give members reasonable notice of material changes affecting their membership or use of the space.

17. Questions or concerns

If you have a question, notice a problem or think something is affecting your ability to work, please contact us at hello@angleseacowork.com.au

Common sense, consideration and clear communication will usually keep Cowork working well for everyone.
